11"All nations should help support the development of a global university designed to engage students in the process of solving the world's most persistent social problems."


前两天一直光练argu，怀疑这篇也写成argu了……话说回来issue里的反对态度应该怎么写呀？


The speaker claims that a global university should be established to engage students in the process of solving the social problems considered as the worldwide most persistent ones. It should be conceded that the intention of the speaker is good. And it will be worth of investing into if such a university could be built and the talented persons could be developed to solve the global social problems. While I think there are many obstacles on the way to establish a university like this, and the efficiency of the university is very low, therefore I don't agree with the speaker's opinion.

First, in recent time when the concept of "global village" is widely propagated, the communication between world's countries is increased. But at the same time, the development of every country is not synchronous, thus the main problems of the society are not alike. The developing countries may take more care about the economic problems while the developed countries turn their looks into the environment preservation. Since the most important and persistent social problems are different considered by different countries, it is difficult to reach a consensus for all the nations before thinking about solving problems. Considering that the speed of development is not consistency in every country, it may be inefficient to construct such a global university.

Second, because of the diversity of the social culture in every country, there may be different ways for solving social problems. For instance, some countries may control the population by forcing people to marry late after a certain age and give birth to no more than one child. In addition, abortion is legal in these countries, for there're sometimes accidental pregnancy for some couple who have already had one child. It may be reasonable for these countries to take any measures like this, because the problem of population is severe enough. While in many Christian States abortion is not only unacceptable but also illegal. Obviously different countries have different ways to solve their social problem based on their cultural background, and there's no agreed criterion for all the nations all over the world. Since the diversity of culture cannot be unified in a university, it will be insignificant to search for every solution in every society of the nations separately.

Finally, I think it is not the best way to solve the most important problem by raise specialists in social problems, for these problems step across many of the fields and need all the specialists in these fields to face it. The problem of insufficient food production caused by the population explosion, for example, can be partly solved by the way of population controlling, and it also can be greatly eased by cultivating grain varieties of high yielding and adaptable. It is evident that every researcher or even every one of the society would take apart of solving social problems. So I think it should not be left to a certain group of people, whatever specialized they are.

In conclusion, I think the starting point of the speaker is very good, but the suggestion is not feasible and efficient.

我整体来说吧，思路是清晰的，语言也比较流畅，例子也不错。优点还是很多的。
但是，问题还是存在的。第一，正确理解world’s most persistent social problems，就我的理解来看，这些问题是世界普遍存在的，如贫困、战争、平等等等，所以不能说每个国家都不一样，只能说每个国家的侧重点不一样，像你B1中论述的。第二，B2的观点很好，文化不同所以解决途径不一很难达成共识。但是你在文章中极少提到global university，而这正是题目的重点之一，所以B2的落脚点应该在于即便建立了这样的大学，也无法解决world’s problems，对不对？你忽略了这一点。第三，B3的观点很模糊，没有解释清楚specialists和global university的关系。第四，你在开头提出建立全球性大学的可行性问题，但在body中并没有论述。需要注意的是，建立global university和解决world’s problems之间的关系，如在B1、B2中，你可能需要说因为在这个全球性大学中学生来自不同的国家代表不同的国家利益和文化，所以难以达成共识，在B3中，需要说明全球性大学培养的是这样解决问题的专门人才，但是这种人才在实践中很难取得效用。这样会不会好一点？
另外，不用担心把I写成A，至少这篇文章没有，练习A的作用在于加强逻辑思维能力和培养一针见血的分析能力，相信已经得到成效。I也没有规定非要平衡论点，反对论点同样可行。观点是好的，只是要加强分析与题目观点的契合，抓准关键词，在论述过程中不要出现常识性的错误或者片面性绝对攻击，尽量思考透彻，更好地表达自己的观点。加油：）
