The author asserts that students should study whatever with a certain skepticism,thus they should question what they are taught instead of accepting it passively.I contend to some extent that skepticism is neccessary in studies and reserches,while some relevant problems and negative influences shall never be ignored.

The chief reason why I generally agree with the contention is that,for better or worse,only through skepticism can we get aware of some hidden truth.Owing to the fact that in some realms questions raise persistently,hence,the hidden truth can be discovered.Considering nobody ever comes up with a single question,how can we conclude so many theorem and axiom?Among all the facts related to skepticism that I have ever heard,witnessed and exprienced,the most impressive one is that Benjamin Franklin,who invented the lightning rod through skepticism.Before his discovery,people at that time feared of thunder and lighting very much.Benjamin Franklin questioned himself, what is the shining line in the sky?Why it comes along with a loud sound? Can it be avoied?Then he conducted the famous kite experient and found electricity.Moreover,lightning rod was invented and soon put into practise and benifited many people.Many truth in history is discovered by people question themselves or question others.

Furthermore,another compelling reason for me to hold my opinion is that only through skepticism can we keep the academic circle alive and develops prosperously.There woule be the worship of an authority in any realm of academic,if no one dares to challenge them and question them,some faulse theroy will remain faulse and new theroy will never come into been.Here is a proper example for me to throw light pn this issue.It is universally known that great minds think more actively and may differ from others.
like the ancient Grace sages Aristotle and his principle Socrates.Socrates is so cranky that he always question what his teacher Aristotle told him,even for sometimes Aristotle almost get angry at him.However,the prosperity of the acient Grace's philosophy development is through these incessantly questioning and improvement.Meanshile,when students are having classes,if they only listen to the quietly and no one raise questions,the atmosphere in the classroom is too heavy or too boring that some of them may fall asleep.

Admittedly,it may be true that some people questions too excessively and unreasonabley challenge the authorities in some conditions.Students who question too much and too frequntly may develop a habit not to believe in anything in his or her life.They don't trust their friends,they don't believe in their family,they won't listen to their teacher's proper advise and they even take everything in the textbooks suspicious.However,this alone does not constitude sufficient evidence to reach the conclusion that students do not need to skepticism to whatever they study and question what they are taught instead of accepting it passively.
After weighing the pros and cons,we can conclude that skepticism is of tremendous necessity for students in whatever the study and questions should be raised instead of been taught passively.
