背景：清华EE本科mm转专业duke b-school,OM
形势:在window 10等的时候看见过了一个武大的bio mm；还有一个由工作经历的jj,
     UMass 3/4奖，专业不清楚；和我同一队的拒了一个Harvard的mm，不清楚是否自费
，
     记得当时站在下面颇受打击；和我同车去的清华博士jj悲剧
VO是大tt,很忙的样子，不断有其他VO过来请教他，jefferytian（北大EEduker)
被check的决定其实就是他作出的.比较不爽的是我被当作大tt教育新手的case了，
整个interview的过程近20分钟，大tt不断在我的DS和I-20上指指点点，麦克多次重复开
关
凭嘴型能判断麦客关的时候大tt在对新手说"You should ask her..."之类的东西，然后

新手开麦克按指示把问题问一遍，我答的时候被6只眼睛（tt4只+新手2只）盯着，下来
以后
自己都奇怪怎么心理素质这么好，一直eye contact竟然没有心慌:)
以下是能记起来的一些问题和回答，其中多数问题是新手在指示下问的，有些事tt自己
问的
VO:What are you going to study in the US?
Me:Ph.D in business administration in Duke.
VO:Why do you pick Duke?
Me:Excellent university and it has an excellent b-school.
   Besides, the faculty there are so nice. My future advisor really welcome
me
   to join his program. He's got a letter for you, would you like to have a
look?
   找准机会把support letter塞进去:)
VO:Why do you want to study business administration?
(就知道他要问转专业的问题，早有准备了，呵呵）
Me: I'm very interested in it. Actually, my specific major, operations manag
ement, is
    very closedly related to industry, so they just would like to have one o
r two engineering
    students in the group. Well, I discussed the problem with my future advi
sor before, would
    you like to see some of his email correspondence?
(趁机把打印得email塞进去，里面当然是好话啦:)
大tt显得很有兴趣的样子开始看，还一边看一边笑，比看support letter认真多了，估
计是SL见得太多的缘故吧
接着问了个没准备的问题
VO:How do you get into contact with this guy,...(我导师的名字）？
Me:You know that I was not sure about the major transfer at first, so I sent
emails to ask the Ph.D
   program coordinator(that happen to be ...), he become very enthusiastic a
bout my application and
   we keep exchanging emails. I think we've become friends.
VO:Have you met him?
Me:No.（觉得有点不妥，赶快急中生智补一句）but we had a very pleasant long ch
at on the phone.
VO:Tell me your plan after graduation.
ME:I want to enter the China headquarter of a high-tech international compan
y, I know they are now
   localizing their management team， like Henry Chow in IBM and 唐骏 in Mic
rosoft, they are both
   Chinese and do excellent work. And I think I'll be the perfect choice wit
h my Ph.D from Fuqua and EE
   background from Tsinghua.
新手显得挺满意的样子，不断点头，我觉得该过了，谁知tt示意他关麦克，指示一番，
又出来一问题
VO:Since you want to be a manager, why not study for MBA?
Me:Well, I've got no working experience, so not eligible for MBA. And OM is
quite a new area in China,
   I have to be the pioneer when come back, so it's not enough that I just k
now how to practice things,
   I have to be the expert, so Ph.D become my choice.
记得的主要问题就这么多了，好像还有些别的，记不住了，当然还要了GT啦
然后就Congratulations. Go to window 10了。比较搞的是他先用中文说一句“去10号
窗”
怕我听不懂再用英语说一句
    今天连自己都觉得奇怪，竟然从头到尾一点都不紧张。（除了站在队里等喊名字的
时候，因为知道自己的名字连中国老师都回念卡壳的，害怕叫了名字不上去就不好了，
呵呵）但站上去答问题时反而100%平静。所以要感谢前面所有签过的duker,让我觉得很
有信心，否则让新老两个VO联合折腾20min不担心死才怪。当时我就想肯定要放我的，问
这么久不过是当个好的教育案例用用而已，所以对每一问题都回答得很清晰，保持微笑
，还一直勇敢的eye contact
    第一印象真的非常非常重要，包括着装、口语、站姿、表情等等，反正就是一个总
体的气质和感觉吧。有些人看签经的回答真的没漏洞，悲剧的很冤。但如果让他本人站
在面前亲口把同一翻话说出来，就能理解VO为什么据他了。在下面等的时候看见有些紧
张的拼命向前趴，恨不得把脸贴玻璃上的，还有个穿露背吊带的mm,真的看着很不顺眼，
果然就都被拒掉了。
    在此要感谢所有我的父母还有所有支持我的朋友，尤其是nebular, ironny, apple
rabbit, yben, jefferytian, 卢忻亮，孔道理，都给我当过VO. 其实我真正自己准备的
时间不多，更没有背答案，只不过把一些points记了一下（其实这样比较好，因为那些
points可以不局限于问题，到处套用串成完整的回答）但由于很早就开始跟着nebular和
ironny模拟，受了几次批评和打击?,(被nebular打击得最多了，呵呵，不过很有收获哦
) 后来觉得自己准备很闷，于是27号预约上以后除了打印材料就干脆只模拟了，反而很
能体会临场感觉，所以今天发挥不错。昨晚找孔道理（一起出去玩户外认识的一位留学
生朋友）聊了快一小时，他是个很不professional的VO,问的问题简直五花八门，但正是
如此，让我对自己回答突击问题和纯粹的交流能力建立起信心，就没什么可怕的了。
他还说要为我pray的。
      就这么多了，签完抓紧机会放风去了，所以现在才发签经。?
