In our time, specialists of all kinds are highly over-rated.We need more generalists-people who can provide broad perspectives.

I concur with the conclusion above that we need someone who can provide wild perspectives. And I also think that it is so urgent that it has to be stressed again and again. However, I still have some reservations on the assertion about negating the importance of the specialists.

First, the desire of genereralists ballooning is the result of society development. Today's society is a pluralistic community,and contradictions between the various aspects of coordination and harmonization exist..In various reamls, single model is not only the king no longer,but mixing other subjects. From this angle of the view, specialists seem to be weak, and even over-rated. At the same time, appearance of generalists who dabble many fields is extraordinarily important.For instants ,a Project Manager is described as a generalist, they have many
comprehensive knowledges and they use those knowledges to realize the management of the whole project what a specialist can not do. So the topic about demand of generalists is valueable.

However, Hegel also said: Only in the state does man have a rational existence. The presence of professionals is the time to tell us the fact that their value goes far beyond the author's knowledge!
What does specialists of all kinds mean? These so-called professionals with scientific and cultural knowledges delve in their field and have some accomplishment at the same time . They are important for the corresponding area just like jewelries. The more specialists exist, the faster this area develop ,the more perfect this system is . The generalists dabble many fields. But as to some special problems ,they may not offer a targeted opinion.
On the contrary, if there is a professional provide assistance the result would be changed.
This point also show that the
professionals is very important and very reasonable.
Here is an example of the relationship between generalists and specialists. When we got ill without knowing which kind of diseases, then there is a general doctor will give our opinions. If seriously, we would be advised to see specialists. It discloses that the generalists and the specialists both very important. The existence of them show not only no discrepancy but also boom.

About the discussion that who is more important has different answers. Whether specialists or generalists are both important for this society.
Weaken or even disclaim the importance of this expertise in the author's point of this view is not desirable.In a word, I assert that we do balance the needs of professionals while ballooning the needs of generalists .
