It is more important to allocate money for immediate, existing social problems than to spend it on long-term research that might help future generations.

The assertion that allocating money to immediate, existing social problems is more important than to long-term research that might help future generations is short-sighted and assumptive. I insist that future generation should be taken into account as equally as present generation when government make financial plan.

People are naturally and morally obliged to think for the future generation. It’s natural to see parents taking care of their children so is it for us to “take care of ” future generation, since technically they are our offspring. In fairly recent history, when it’s the time of industrial revolution, Western people focuses too much on upgrade of technology and increase productivity regardless the damage they brought to the environment which we-the future generation for them are suffering now. So we have already learned the lesson of not thinking about future generation.
China is an good example of taking interest of both generations equally. Chinese government brought forward a policy in 1980s guiding the future development of China called sustainable development which refers to meeting people's current needs without undermining the future generations' possibility of meeting their needs.

However no one can ignore the fact that it’s one of the government’s major responsibilities to solve immediate, existing social problems like social chaos resulted from natural disaster or real estate bubble. And problems like those should be properly settled as soon as possible otherwise millions of people would suffer. But no one can take it for granted that social problems could be handled as long as enough money was put in; let alone use it as an excuse for extra money cut from the funding for long termed research. For example, it’s the quick and well organized response by government that is needed when earthquake broke out in Sichuan Province 2008 but not large amount of money. As to issues like real estate bubble which is accumulated by long time, sound regulating system and gradually involved intervention is more important than money . In this case, money even can play an opposite role and make matters worse.

Large amount of money may not be necessary for solving social issues but it is a precondition for conducting long-termed researches. Researches that may help future generation such as exploring outer space or finding new energy source need a great many experiments, and many of which would turn out to fail. So it costs large investment on material, lab running and intellectuals hiring.

To sum up, it’s not fair and reasonable to allocate more money on immediate, existing social problem than long-termed research which may help future generation. First of all, present generation has no right and will surely be blamed for discarding future generation’s living and development, and human beings has learned lesson of doing so. More over, social problem needs proper policy and sound system other than money, whereas oppositely does long-termed researches.

There was something magic about that place. I loved everything from the music to the tapestries to uamquytg the well-developed wow power leveling NPCs that were lurking around every corner. It all combined to form one of the most engaging, interesting raid instances in the World of Warcraft. I look back at it with the same kind of fondness I usually reserve for music played at my prom or the soup eaten at my wedding.
