180"Many problems of modern society cannot be solved by laws and the legal system because moral behavior cannot be legislated."

The speaker asserts that moral behavior cannot be legislated caused many problems of modern society cannot be solved by laws and the legal system .It has merit from a normative standpoint, and I agree insofar as in many cases, the moral behavior cannot be legislated. However, the assertion is indefensible. To large extent, most of the seriously moral problem of modern society could be legislated. Otherwise ,If all of the moral behavior are legislated by country might defeat its own purposes in the long term.

True, the speaker’s assertion that many inextricabilities in our society the question to cause by morally degenerate is quite compelling. The moral opinion could conduct individual’s behavior. So the morally degenerate ignite many problems that we must not be neglected. Such as many people break the order of a queue for saving his time. In short, the public should fully realize the significances of the moral. As time goes by, it will show more profound significance.

Beyond this concession, however, I disagree with the statement because it seems to recommend that all of problems exist in our society caused by moral behavior cannot be legislated. Such as technological development, is a double-edged sword, which has also brought about many problems in human society, especially those relating to the environment. The water we drink is no longer safe .The air we breathe is laden with the pollutants. The ozone layer that provided a natural protection again fiendish ultraviolet rays is depleting. Deforestation and strip mining is making vast areas of land barren. The balance of our ecosystem is greatly disturbed. Numerous other instances of the same sort might be multiplied indefinitely, but this will suffice. Therefore, the government should set down corresponding laws and regulations to reserve the disturbing trend. However, all the phenomenon stated above caused by the development of technical, but not the morally degenerated.

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, the speaker seems to fail to take into account the fact that all of the moral behaviors was legislated for solving problems as many other simple solutions to some most complicated problems, would be awkward in serving as a key. Because it will require people spare no effort to adapt the new laws that so many moral behaviors were included. And it will make the laws rigid and inflexible. As development of the society, laws should be flexible enough to adopt to different circumstances, times and places. Only if some serious problems we encounter that we can reform our laws. Take American as a typical example, the first Constitution was born, instead of being fixed, 1791 ten amendments were added to the Constitution to ensure human rights. Until now, there have been twenty-seven amendments, much more words than the initial Constitution. For another instance, during the Civil war, Lincoln enacted the laws that entitled the equal rights to the blacks with the whites. Consequentlythe moral behavior never be legislated is not right, If the society need, we can.

People varying from personalities as well as backgrounds tend to look at the issue from diversified perspectives. When it comes to me,
in sum, I concede that
many inextricabilities in our society the question to cause by morally degenerate. Nonetheless, to some extent, the speaker's claim overrates the importance of legislating the moral behavior. As a matter of fact, the laws and the legal system are intertwined elements that are playing respective indispensable roles in our modern society.

The speaker asserts that moral behavior cannot be legislated caused (because that) many problems of modern society cannot be solved by laws and the legal system .It has merit from a normative standpoint, and I agree insofar as in many cases, the moral behavior cannot be legislated. However, the assertion is indefensible. To large extent, most of the seriously moral problem of modern society could be legislated. Otherwise ,If all of the moral behavior are legislated by country might defeat its own purposes in the long term. (呵呵,看出了楼主用的模板,可以补充些细节来说明why the assertion is indefensible)

True, the speaker’s assertion that many inextricabilities in our society the question to cause by morally degenerate is quite compelling. The moral opinion could conduct individual’s behavior. So the morally degenerate ignite (moral degeneration ignites) many problems that we must not be neglected (should not neglect). Such as many people break the order of a queue for saving his(their) time.

However, all the phenomenon stated above caused by the development of technical, but not the morally degenerated.(楼主的例子果然是万能例子,可是都不大适用呀)

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, the speaker seems to fail to take into account the fact that all of the moral behaviors was (were,注意主谓一致) legislated for solving problems as many other simple solutions to some most complicated problems, would be awkward in serving as a key. Until now, there have been twenty-seven amendments, much more words(entries) than the initial Constitution. For another instance, during the Civil war, Lincoln enacted the laws that entitled the equal rights to the blacks with the whites. Consequently, the moral behavior never be legislated is not right, If the society need, we can.(最后这段的论据就很好)

People varying from personalities as well as backgrounds tend to look at the issue from diversified perspectives. When it comes to me,
in sum, I concede that many inextricabilities in our society the question to cause by morally degenerate. Nonetheless, to some extent, the speaker's claim overrates the importance of legislating the moral behavior(过分强调了道德行为立法的重要性?貌似没有诶). As a matter of fact, the laws and the legal system are intertwined elements that are playing respective indispensable roles in our modern society.
