       Nowadays there is a debate about whether exploring their own emotions is more important than capacity for reasoning and logical thinking for students and the author thinks so. In my opinion, both of them are indispensible for a well-educated student. My conclusion originates from my observation in different fields and the integrity of a refined man.
       In some fields, feelings are the most fruitful motivation for one's achievement .First let's take a look at the realm of art, which is the most fabulous part of human beings' spiritual treasure. As we all know, true art derives from infinite imagination and deep reflection on life, which seem not difficult enough for a man to attain. Nevertheless, the most preeminent artists are few. Why? As far as I am concerned, the answer lies in the true fact that eminent artists are more sensitive than common people to beauty, misfortunes encountered in life and the expectation about the world, in another way, they fully explore their own emotions. As the great saying says "Life is never short of beauty, but demands insightful eyes. " take Picasso for example, after German planes bombarded the town Guernica, his heart is so shocked that he drew a dead woman, a head of ox, and some limbs scattering on the ground ,which now is a famous picture called Guernica, to vent his outrage. As we can see the intense emotion played a paramount role in the creation of a masterpiece. However you can never expect a numb man to produce such a piece of art .so if we want to inspire students' capacity for art, then exploring their own emotions is a primary task.
       Notwithstanding, if we take science into account ,we will find that in science logical reasoning is far more predominant in its development .science's principles disclose the substantial regulations in the material world, which will never be changed or overturned by somebody's emotion desire. If we retrospect to the ancient times, we will find that some great breakthroughs in science come from discreet logical reasoning, most of which defied human's inner desire. For instance, for a long time, everybody has the emotion desire to take for granted that the earth is the centre of the universe, but Bruno discovered that the sun is the real centre otherwise through careful reasoning and complex calculations. It contradicted people's feelings but is true for the solar system. So we can get the conclusion that schools should improve students' logical thinking ability to make sure that they can get the object view about the world.
       On the other hand, for individuals we should not accentuate only on logical thinking ability or the exploration of own emotions. Both are important for the growth of students. A saint person without comprehensive emotions is unlikely to get along well with the people around, for he has few emotional resonance with others ;and a sensitive person short of logical thinking would more likely to do things on impulse, which sometimes result in tragedy. Adolf Hitler is a good example, who lacks of profound reasoning and logical thinking. His impulse deeds gave human beings a cruel blow.
       To sum up ,although various fields demands different abilities, for individuals both improving logical thinking and exploring emotions are two fundamental tasks .So educational systems should not leave off neither of them and try their best to make students equip both of
the two abilities.

很好，但是看到了不少北美的影子。用词不错。后面的SCIENCE 的例子比较好，但前面的艺术家的不太有说服力，艺术家本来就是高艺术的，当然是emotion了。如能在考场上写出，可得5分
