    What does the true meaning of education lie in? The author hold an opinion that the education will be truly effective if it aims at all students’ need and interests. I can’t agree with the author any more. In my point of view, education without meeting students’ need can not be called ‘education’.
    Firstly, to educate is to make people happier, and only the education pay more attention on children’s need and interests can make them happy. There’re a lot people who choose to subjects that help them in attaining a better salary, instead of picking up what really attract them deeply. On the front, they enjoy high-salary positions and a rich family, but actually they are leading an aimless life. On the contrary, people who take their favorable subjects turn out to be more ambitious and efficient.
    On the other hand, people’s interests and needs is necessity for their future success. It is proved that many celebrities succeed because of their pursuit for what they really care about. Albert Einstein, the most famous scientist all over the world, used to be not so talented at his high school study. However, he carried on his research out of the love for physics. Obviously, he can’t achieve such great accomplishment without his interests towards physics.
    In modern times, people pay too much attention on profits, so that we forget the original purpose of education. To solve this problem, on the one hand, we should urge the government to conduct a reform to free students from mechanical teaching. On the other hand, It’s necessary for us to cultivate the awareness that our happy life origins from the pursuit for what we truly interest in. Only in this way, our education could be called ‘education’, not ‘teaching’.
    To sum up, people should inspect today’s education system. Otherwise, it’s machine not human being that we are producing through our education.
