I don't agree withthe speaker's assertion that many species have faced the danger of extinction because of the natural process rather than the human process at various times in the geological past. In my opinion what we should ascribe the reason of extinction of species to should be judged by the contemporary environment of earth and the development level of mankind. Different times havedifferent leading reasons for extinction. Now that the speaker has ignored the basic norm the consequence drawn also makes no sense.最后一句also不知道从何而来？

To fully explain this question, we should give priority to the precise and scientific meaning ofgeological past. Actually scientist define geological past as the time from 3.9billion years ago to present, which is such a long time divided into two partaccording to the emergence of human being.

Admittedly, beforemankind emerges on the historical stage, natural process does have a vital rolein changing the environment of earth, which is definitely control of the evolutionof species. As we all know, dinosaurs were the rulers of the earth for a longtime, however due to the natural process,（可以更详细点，如何due to） such bulky and powerful species vanishedeventually. It's obvious for various species that if you can acclimateyourselves to the natural process, you can avoid the danger of extinction. 最后一句主语混乱了。

However, whenhuman arises, especially with the fast development of productive force, human has become so powerful that it changes the natural balance.(用change the nature 总觉得有点不对劲，好像少点什么) There is nodoubt that contemporary world, human has become the master of the earth. Thebehaviors of mankind have great influences on the survival of other species.Let's retrospect the human history, a history of species extinction led to by human. Kinds of pollution like water pollution, air pollution have seriouslythreatened various species. Deforestation has destroyed the habitat of a largeamount of species. For example panda, Chinese national treasure, faces thedanger of extinction because human destroyed their habitats and cut down many bamboos which are their main food.

Now that human hasthe ability(用词不妥) to destroy species we also have the duty and abilities to protectthem. 有能力毁坏就有责任么？人类所做的不只是ability这么简单。The reason why human being should protect endangered species is apparent.Our species live in biosphere which is made of all kinds of species includinghuman being. We are just a small part of the biosphere. Without other species,the balance of biosphere will be broken and in imbalanced environment human hasno choice but to wait to die. Moreover the extinction of one species means thedisorder of food chain. Whatever we eat, drink, use are all transferred to us by food chain, with the destroy of which the disaster to human is unparalleled. Because any species can’t live except that it lives with otherspecies together. That's the eternal natural norm human should follow forever.这一段后面的短句可以适当连接，更连贯些。

Given theimportance of protection of species, we should make extraordinary efforts, evenat a great cost in money and jobs, to save them. The reason why pandas don'textinct is that Chinese government put so much money and energy in them, suchas building their natural reserve. If we don't take the situation seriously,maybe in the contemporary time, the damage to human is not obvious andshocking, but we should be responsible for our next generation, which requiresthat we should leave a damaged earth to them. 这一句意思太繁杂，应一句一个意思。We should consider the sustainabledevelopment of human being.

总体意思和思路还是很不错的，就是有些地方还需要更多考虑，不要随着思维漂浮而把多个意思杂糅。加油~
