Topic: Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Young people should try different job before they decide which job or career they will do in long term


With the rapid development of economy and education, people pay more attention to their career development. However, they often face the dilemma of whether to choose a long term job after trying different jobs. Personally, I believe it is better to try different jobs before decide a long term job.

The most important advantage of trying different jobs is it helps people to find the job they really interested. As a saying goes, "interest is the best teacher." With the help of interest, people are more willing to do the job and learn things more quickly, which results in a better career development. However, if people take a job before trying, they may find they dislike the job they choose. Without interest, they may be reluctant to do the job, try to avoid the job. With low speed of learning and low enthusiasm, they may have trouble in their career development. So, trying different job play a key role in finding the job you really interested.

Another important aspect is trying different job will give you invaluable working experience and different background knowledge. For example, if you have a working experience in an Internet company, you may acquire a good computer skill and some background knowledge about the Internet and computer. These may make an important contribution not only in the process of finding a further job, but also make your work more efficient. However, if people choose a long term job without such working experience, they may find it is difficult to do some special tasks. And their ordinary performance in these tasks may affect their leader's choice, which makes them arduous to stand out.

What's more, trying different job will help people make a lot of friends and teach people an important lesson--how to deal with the relationship between colleagues. People can make friends with their colleagues and learn some good qualities from them. Besides, they can develop a good relationship with their clients. And the ability to maintain a good relationship with clients is one of the essential abilities to make a successful business. Also it is not rare that someone quit the job they like because of their bad relationship with their colleagues. Therefore, trying different jobs helps them develop a crucial ability of developing a healthy relationship with the people they work with.

As we see from the discussion above, trying different jobs help people make necessary preparation for their long term job. Even though choose a long term job without trying different jobs has its own merits, I think trying different jobs will bring more benefits. With the abilities they developed and the skill they acquired in previous jobs, people can find their suitable job more easily. More important is, the experiences and abilities help them gain more advantages in career development which is their final goal. Therefore, it is better for people to try different jobs before decide the job they will do in long term,

Topic A&D  Newspapers and magazines are the best way of learning about a foreign country.

Have you ever been attracted by something in foreign countries? Have you ever been curious about foreign countries? Have you ever confused that which is the best way to learn about foreign countries? Someone believes that newspapers and magazines are the best way of learning. However, I strongly disagree with that opinion.

Newspapers and magazines are good media. People can get some daily news and information from newspapers and some new ideas from the magazines. Also, people can get some information about foreign countries from these media, especially the magazines about travelling. For example, these magazines will introduce the culture and custom of a foreign country such as what they eat in daily life; how they celebrate their traditional festivals and the religion they believe. Besides, magazines will use many beautiful pictures to illustrate. With the help of pictures, people can get a general idea about a foreign country through the introduction by the newspapers or magazines.

However, there are some other ways to acquire the knowledge of the foreign countries. Personally speaking, traveling is the best way. People can go to that country to feel the beauty of that country by themselves. Delicious food and special wine give them the most direct feeling. The night view of these cities, the language the local people use can give people a deep understanding about that country, which hardly can be depicted by simply using language and pictures.

What's more, television provides people another way to look at foreign countries. With the sound and the pictures on the screen, people can have a more vivid impression about the country than just by reading the essays and pictures in the magazines. Television gives a feeling that as if you are in that country. It is another way to feel foreign country if people have some difficulties to get there.

Getting information only through magazines and newspapers may mislead people in some aspects. The descriptions of the countries by the newspapers or magazines may not be completely correct. Little mistakes in the description may cause people's misunderstanding about the countries or even may make them dislike these countries.

In conclusion, the detailed depiction by the newspapers and magazines can give people a general impression of that country, it is also very convenient. However, other ways have more merits just like travelling and television discussed above. Therefore, people should try other ways like travelling or television in order to have a better understanding.

In daily life, people should balance the work time and leisure time. However, the balance starts to change when more factors have been taken into consideration. Someone prefers the work with more vocation, and others prefer the work with less vocation because of the higher salary. Personally, I agree with the statement that job with more vocation time is better.

Money is a way that measure people's value. Some people believe, the more money they make, the more successful they will be. For example, Bill Gates, the richest man in the world, is also considered one of the most successful man in the world. With more money, they can live a better life. A big house, a cool car and luxury products are the life they pursue. The occupation with higher salary also means higher social status. People want to be decent in front of their friends and relatives. Therefore, people with this belief suppose that better job is the job with higher salary even though the vocation time is limited.

However, money is not the only thing that measures the jobs. The amount of vocation time is also an essential factor, and affects the performance of people directly. The vocation time plays a key role in helping people relieve the pressure from work. Nowadays, people face more and more pressure from work. Meetings, company's financial position and their performances have take a lot of parts of their life, even in their dreams. We can see from some reports that the health condition of the working class is declining. What's more, some extreme events---suicide and violence happen more frequently. Overwhelmed by the pressure and have no way to relieve, people lose their hope towards life. Vocation obviously can help people relax and sometimes inspire people, which keep them healthy both mentally and physically and improve their working performance.

Furthermore, more vocation job can help people enjoy life. Obviously, work is not the only thing in people's lives; they have some other significant things to do. Reading books, travelling and listening to beautiful melodies make them have a better understanding about themselves and the world. Moreover, people can use the spare time to promote their relationship among friends and relatives. While, less vocation job limits people's contact with the people around them. For example, when my father become busy, we would have less time to communicate, which cause some misunderstanding between us and harm to the family atmosphere.

Of course, higher salary job can do bring people some merits and a better life materially. However, a job with more vocation can improve people's performance and their interpersonal relationship, making people enjoy life better. For these reasons, I strongly believe that more vocation job is better.
