I agree with the speaker’s broad assertion that education should be designed to development the individual needs and interests of each student. However, I think a truly effective education should also give students chance to choose a real fascinating direction after they already have a broadly understanding on various kinds of aspects.

Experience tells us, in some particular aspect, only the unique sensitive feeling or the physical fitness that a child possesses can ensure the attainment of success. For example the best time to learn a foreign language is before 6years old, most of successful dancers and athletes begin their career very early. Real people who miss the best time can obtain their achievement .In this kind of area, educators should do their best to find students’ gift and dig it as early as possible.

Nevertheless, there are numerous subjects require people who have broad perspectives, rich experience of society. For instance, a good architecture needs to own the ability to integrate technology arts together and handling problem with government and public. people also say that a fifty years old architecture is a young architecture .Many master architecture such as Louis I. Kahn achieve the top of their career after fifty years old .We must admit that in synthesis subject, if one only receives the specifically designed education, it not impossible for him or her to do a good job well. Even to the highly professor science, open field of view always help the progress of the research while limit mode of thinking can block scientist to breakthrough. The answer of one subject can sometime hide in another filed. You can never have too much knowledge.


Indeed, the speaker ignore a very important point that only a few student have already known which way to go in the early year of their life while majority of people find the suitable fields in the progress of wide range learning .Rather than put all the energy to design particular education, educator should pay more attention to improve basic education and led students to looking for their own way by themselves.

In sum, helping individuals to achieve their goal in a particular way is not the only way to make the education effective, it’s also important to teach the students to learn broadly and led them to find their own way.
