Which is the best choice of young people to become a great leader? The competition or cooperation? The speaker claims that a society can better prepare its young people for leadership by instilling in a sense of cooperation rather than competition. As far as I am concerned, the speaker's assertion is too extreme and one-sided. In addition, I think both of the two manners are important for a young people to become a great leader. Moreover, both of them are not a single one can be omitted.

From the past to the contemporary society, it is always a big question that how to make a young people to become a great leader so that he or she could be providing a more satisfied environment for their citizens. In my point of view, cooperation plays an important role of the young leader preparation. On one hand, as we all known, human being is a kind of high level animal living with each others, that is, human being can not live alone and should have to make a interaction of other people. For example, a wolf-child who is feed by mother wolf can not be called a human, even though he has a human body. It is because that the wolf-child hasn’t an important characteristic of human being-----cooperation, that is, the wolf-child never interacts with other people except wolves. On the other hand, in contemporary society, people should always cooperate with others. For example, when we at school, we should cooperate with classmate to finish a kind of academic discussion or research, whereas, people can not finish it by their own or it is too difficult to do so. Otherwise, when we working at an industry, the most important thing we should concern about is the teamwork. Thus, to become a great leader, cooperation is necessary.

However, the competition is also an important condition of people who want to become a great leader. Honestly speaking, there is no where can be founded without competition in our currently society. Even we should make a competition from our childhood. For example, in China, mothers are always having a great expectation for their own children. In order to make their children more excellence, the mothers would have to send their children to a special class to learn more specialties like playing violin, playing piano or painting and so on. When they grow up, they should make more competition with classmates and even colleague in order to satisfy their boss. Thus, they can get more salary. From the true and cruel situation, a person who do not willing to make himself or herself more competitively or can not make a competition with others would be thrown far behind the society. Say noting of to become a great leader.

In sum, both of the cooperation and competition serve as the water and air which humanity could not being alive without them. Thus, in order to become a great leader, we must improve the ability of competition ourselves, and learning how to get along with others so that we could make a better cooperation.
