It is true that with the development of human society, especially globalization, there are many problems requiring cooperation of different nations. Among which the fight against property, the protection of environment and the pursuing for peace may be the most urgent and persistent. But do these problems require developing a global university? Can establishing such a university really solve the problems? I think the answers are ‘no’. Although the idea of such a university sounds appealing, from my point of view, it is unrealistic and unnecessary. Such a university can hardly have any significant effect on solving the world's most persistent social problems and the idea of establishing such a school is not practicable.
Although the problems exist in every nation and have global impacts, the causes and forms of the problem may be different and the solution differs as a result of the different situation of each nation. Take the pollution of environment as an example. In some developed countries, the solution lies in eliminating the waste cars and factories produce, in some developing countries, it is urgent to find an environmentally-friendly way of feeding its people so that they will not rely on destroying the rainforest to get land for cultivating crops. A global university is less effective than a national or regional university in finding a pertinent solution to the problems. Professors and students are more familiar with the situations of their own country, and therefore can come up with more effective ways of solving the problems at their home country.
(家家有本难念的经)
As for the problems whose solution requires global cooperation, it is also unnecessary to establish a global university. With the help of modern methods, people from different parts of the world can communicate conveniently. The courses offered at national and regional universities can serves to solve the problem since students can easily get access to the information of other parts of the world.

To solve the problems, learning at university is far from enough. (这句话显得有点突兀)Most courses can just teach the students how to analyze the problem and find the best way to solve the problem. The problems can be solved if all countries are willing to follow the way. As we all know, the aim of diplomacy is to protect the interest of the country. So the students of the global university may find that although they come up with a perfect idea that can maximize the benefit of human beings as a whole, some countries are reluctant to carry it out because it damages their own benefit. Take the Kyoto Protocol as an example. In theory it is a good way to control the amount of carbon dioxide we produce. But some countries are unwilling to sign it because they are unwilling to sacrifice the benefits of their own country, leaving the implement of the Protocol out of reach.
(众口难调)
One problem with the practice of establishing a global university is how different countries can come to a consensus on the curriculum of it. Since students from different schools have different knowledge background, it is hard to find a course that suits everyone. And who should be responsible for the appointment of faculties and enrollment of students? In fact, to establish such a school will cause many new 'global problems' before it can solve the existing ones.
(其他的问题)
So, although I admit that global corporation is indeed necessary in solving the problems worldwide, it is not a good idea to try to establish a global university.
(结尾可能是时间问题有点仓促。主要是admit后面那句话文中提的比较少。)
