In this era of information booming, computer technology could help people a lot in many different ways. So I do agree that governments should spend as much money as possible on developing computer technology.

Computer technology has made people's life easier than ever and it has great potential to go much further. Take the transportation part as an example. In the past, when there is no computer technology or it is less developed, the traffic transportation system is not as satisfying as it is now. People often get into traffic jams due to the less information of transportation condition on the road commanded by both the drivers and dispatcher. People get blind with how busy the road is. However, with the help of computer technology, the internet-based sensors and cameras on the road detect and send the vehicle flow information to the transportation center. After analyzing that information by using computers, the feedback will give the dispatchers and drivers to help them make a wise decision about which way to go in order to avoid traffic jams. And if we spent more on computer technology, we will surely get more intelligent transportation system and make it more convenient for people to go out.
It is the computer technology that makes a more strong safeguard available for the country. Computer technology is widely used in a country's military and national defending department. The weapons are more precisely designed and can get the enemy done with tiny tolerance. In addition, many important electric information of the country is kept somewhere with protection from computer technology. You know, nowadays there a lot of hackers out there to steal your secrets. So the more advanced your computer technology is, the more safe your data is.

In a word, computer technology is not only important to people's everyday life, but is also crucial to a country.

Some people think that governments should spend as much money as possible on developing or buying computer technology. Other people disagree and think that this money should be spent on more basic needs. Which one of these opinions do you agree with?

So I do agree (take my side)that governments should spend as much money as possible on developing computer technology.
