2009.9 25NA do you agree or disagree: having jobs with low paying salary and being high secure is better than jobs with high salary but being easy to lost:

When I became a graduate student of my university and started to think of my future career, I had received quite a lot of suggestions on how to find a job and what kind of job would be an ideal choice.  My parents, both of whom had worked for a state owned company for almost their whole life, tried to persuade me that a good job should be a stable job at first. They believed that a stable job could provide a safe and burden less life to me, although the salary may be not as attractive as other jobs, it could increase step by step.

However, I can not agree with my parents’ opinion and follow the way they had chosen for me. I am of a view that a satisfactory salary should be the most important feature of a good job.  First of all, I believe that the level of salary is a standard of measure one’s competence on their job. A company which would give you a higher salary should be more interested in my personal capability and believe that my knowledge or skill worth the money they paid.  Working for such a company would make me more confidence and my passion of hard working would be stimulated.

On the contrary, a company which provides less salary may have doubt on my ability or the competence for the job. Thus, I may be sent to do some less challenging work which can not make full use of my professional skill or knowledge.  It is admitted that after a long time of doing boring and easy work, my capability could be found and may gain a promotion and get better salary, but that may need a special chance or may need to be wait for years.

As to the stability, it is true that a job with higher salary may mean heavier obligation, and may easier to make mistakes or fails to reach a certain target and then being fired. However, I am hold the opinion that a burdensome job also bring benefit to youngsters who just stepped into the society.  I had imagined that if I found a stable and burden less job in a government office or a state owned enterprise, just as what my parents had done, my whole life my be just a copy of theirs: doing the same work day after day, have plenty of time to read newspaper or chat with colleges on the wording time, every 5 or 10 years gain a promotion and acquired a small increase on the salary. It may be a easy way to live, but it obviously a positive way.  If one have the willing of being success in whatever field, or even just want to earning a better life, he should work hard and learn and make improvement every time.  Burden, sometimes, is the most effective way of stimulating people to make progress.  If you are worried of lose the job, you have to think carefully everything you are doing, and have to try every thing to reach the target, and thus, you make progress everyday.

In a word, a stable job with low salary should not be an ideal job for youth who are willing to gain success or earn a better life.  A job with high salary may be burdensome and easy to lose, but it means the recognition of one’s ability, and would provide more opportunity and motion to gain improvement.

When I graduated from university and found my first job as a legal assistant in a law firm, my parents told me that I should be loyal to the firm I worked for, work hard and so that I could gain promotion step by step.  They suggested me that not to change job frequently and warned me that if I did so, I could not succeed in any field.

However, I myself hold a totally different opinion. I believe that for youngsters who just steps into the society, to take every opportunity and to try as many different jobs or positions as possible would bring benefit for the future development. For one thing, for a young people who just graduated from university and have no experience in any field, he/she may not sure what kind of job fit for him/her to take as a life-long career. To choose a field in which one is interested and is suitable is of the most importance(感觉很累赘,不如直接点indispensable) for one’s success.    It is true that even in a field which you are not good at or which you are not truly interested in, you may still gain success by working hard and accumulating experience year after year. But isn’t it regretful when(once) you finally realize one day (删)that the career in which you devote all your life is not which(what) you loved, and if you chose another way when you were young, you might do much better than now?

For the other, the knowledge and skills accumulated in the previous working experience may be helpful for the future career. I had worked as an editor for a website during several summer holidays when I was in the university. When I started work in the law firm, I find that the skill of searching information and organizing documents help me to do the same work much quicker than other colleges. Many people with whom I get known(acquainted) during the previous working have become my good friends and we often gathered and chat with each other. Talking with people in various areas expand my horizon largely.

Someone may argue that as many people’s specialty has been determined when they were in university, people should chose the job which is related with what they have learned in the university so that their knowledge and professional skills could be put into good use. Admitted that the major one has studied in school may confine the scope of jobs could be chosen, for example, it may be impossible for a law school student to become a dentist.  However, in most circumstances, you can still have frequent choice within the field of your major. For instance, a law school student could become a lawyer, a judge, or even a government officer. Each job is related to laws and regulations which you have learned in the university, but the way to use such knowledge and the issues to be focused on are totally different.

To sum up, I believe that to change several different jobs before determining the field to work for life would bring frequent (absolute) benefit for youngsters. It may help you to choose the job which truly fit for you; the previous working experience in different areas may accumulate useful knowledge and skill; and you have more chance to meet people in different areas, which could help to expand your eye horizon.

你太牛了,居然写了500多字,文法上也改不出什么问题。用了特别多的从句
第一感觉是很能驾驭,但是太多从句也会显得累赘。说的不对请多包涵
