The two statements that the society` s future mainly depends on how our descendants are socialized and we still have not find the proper approach of how to cultivated our children into the ones who can make this society better seem convincing at the first glance, but further observation tells me that both of them are poorly supported.

Socialization means the process in which our children growing to be acceptable in the society. If thriving of mankind were only determined by this, then we should have denied the importance of those human characteristics like, inner conviction which leads one to the final victory, influence from the circumstances in which one grows up and the raw intellect with which one was born. For instance, Beethoven, the German composer who did a great contribution to the acoustic world of human being, without whom our society surely would be worse, was deaf entirely by 1819. The level of socialization has nothing to do with his achievements. Beethoven`s success comes from his inner conviction with which he spared no effort to compose those great sonatas and concertos and his gift of sensitivity to music. Let us take Edison as another example: this American inventor was considered as not only stupid boy, but also a pupil who never stops breaking the school`s legislation and is not popular with classmates. So his mother raised and educated him at home. From this we can see that Edison didn`t grow in a society and do not gain the opportunity to be socialized, but all these didn`t stop him make our society better. His success is contributed by his mother and his talent. So we can conclude that the destiny of society is not determined by how we socialize children.

In the recent years our society has made a incredible progress in many direction. More and more new inventions and discoveries have been made. For example, internet and the other technologies offer us a great number of conveniences which our ancestors dreamed for. None of us can deny we are raised to better our society by our fathers. We have learned to respect the faiths, traditions of a different nation for which people fought in the past. Someone would say that our natural environment is getting worse and worse today which shows that our living conditions are not as good as the last generation`s. I should say that this is not the fault of one generation and now we have learned that it is a significant mission to protect the eco-system which our fathers did not realize at their early days.

To sum up, the most vital factor which leads us to a better society is not socialization. We need to take other things, such as conviction, intelligence and parental influence into consideration. And the claim that we are not raising children to be the ones who can better the society is wrong for it denies the achievements and the experiences our father left us. I believe that our society is developing into a more harmonious one, and our children will make it more splendid.
