234. "Most people prefer restrictions and regulations toabsolute freedom of choice, although they would probably deny such apreference."
I fundamentally agree with the asserts that people today placemuch more attention on the freedom of choice is just a superficial views, sincefurther reflections shows that in fact most people prefer restrictions andregulations.
1、
As is so often pointed out, the pursuit of democracy in many countries hasdistributes more rights for people to judge various issues, such as theselection of the president, the decision of the measures and so forth. All ofthese privilege shared by most of the citizens in the nation have not only promotethe enthusiastic of individuals upon the current condition but also contributesto the development of the entire nation. For instance, the evolution of humancivilizations make the relationship between denizens and the politics becomemore intimate than ever and also inspire more people to participate theconcrete constructions of the regulations and regulations. With respect to thegovernment, the more people postulate their situations the more accurate andperfect for the measures to be established. In addition, allocating people withmore freedoms also help to improve the diversity of the human world andeventually enhance the color of people's lives and activity.

However, the people's pursuit of the freedom does not mask the dilemmaticfeeling of many persons when facing the intricate problems and numerous kindsof choices. Today's technological advance has derived a large amount ofabundant problems and alternatives that have never appeared before. That is whymore people prefer restrictions and regulations to absolute freedom of choice, although they would probably deny such a preference.
3、
For one thing, compared with the things of the past, much more elements andconditions have been collaborated in the issues in today's society andeventually make many people prefer to have the only choice. For example, peopletoday have much more choice on the production than before, then the problemcomes, the more famous brand which in most of the cases means the betterquality, the more expansive the goods is. That is why I am always hearingpeople complain about they prefer to return to the past when most of theproducts are too luxurious to select. Though this scenario seems far-fetched tosome extend, it shows increasing in the current society.
4、
While, on the other hand, it takes a large amount of time and vitality forcommon people to cope with all sorts of issues in their lives and hence makepeople become more willing to relegate certain kind of problems to theregulations of the governments. That is why modern people always cherishing agreat hope on the authorizing laws or other native regulations to deal with theirproblems, and also strive to deliver much more legislations about much widerspheres of their lives. Conversely, if certain kind of constrain has beendeprived, many aspects of people’s lives, or even the entire society may behampered or even destroyed. Think about that: No authority and governmentexisted in the nation let along the corresponding laws which can be used toprotect people’s private interest and maintain the evolution of the humancivilizations. So, the limitation which is provided in the modern world doesnot eliminate people’s interest and rights but to construct a much betterenvironment and conditions to use their privileges.
[END:] Asanalyzed above, though most of the people in the world refuse to acknowledgetheir willing to the increasing of restrictions and regulations, certain kindof constrain have not diminished people's freedoms but provide them with a muchconvenient environments and climate for their lives. |
