In the busy and crowded world today, we should not expect people to be polite to each other



Politeness, which is necessary and ordinary in the past years, is now abandoned by some people merely because the world today is becoming more and more busy and crowded. However there are still many people insist that we should be polite to each other, no matter where you are and when it is. I also agree with this point of view, politeness plays and will continue to play a significant and indispensable role in our society.

Politeness requires people to weight their words and actions, as well as take others’ feelings into consideration. Thus, it helps to provide practical convenience and comfort to the surrounding people. A recent news report support this standpoint. It reads that a businessman who took a long conversation on his cellphone in the cinema , totally ignoring other audiences’ feels, end up expelled from the cinema.


More importantly, politeness also helps to avoid conflicts, rather than complicating our lives. people tends to get on well with those who are polite and elegant. In the daily life, if we can always remember to be polite to each other, it is certain that we can improve the relationship among the people around. So it is apparent that politeness can avoid unnecessary conflicts and construct a warm atmosphere. I cannot help asking a question, why should we abandon politeness?

Besides, Politeness render people a good mood. As I have just sad, politeness helps to avoid conflicts and construct a warm atmosphere among people. Think how can you be angry and restless if all the people around is polite to you. From this point of view, politeness is of vital importance especially in the now increasingly busy world.

In conclusion, politeness can offer us practical convenience, a good mood and also help us avoid conflicts. And it should not be abandoned, in contrast, politeness should be highly advocated.

With the rapid globalization in culture and economy, communications between countries are becoming more and more important. Learning about foreign countries helps people to avoid mistakes and to achieve their goals.

It is certainly that newspapers and magazines play an significant role in the process of learning about a foreign country. I picked up the habit of reading newspapers and magazines many years ago. With the help of newspapers I can get all kinds of firsthand information happened in other countries, it is surely a good way to learn about a foreign country. Take the American presidential election for instance, even though I am now in China, which is tens of thousands of meters away from the united states, by reading newspapers such as the New York Times ,the Washington Post, I will be informed of the victory of Obama as soon as the results are announced.

However, when it comes to best way to learn about a foreign country, I suppose Internet is my choice. As I have just said, with the help of newspapers and magazines we can get sorts of useful messages, but the question is the information storage capacity of newspapers and magazines are limited sometimes. You can never get as much information in newspaper and magazines as those on the internet. What’s more, it is much more convenient to search the information you want on the internet than in newspapers and magazines. Just think how can you find out which magazines are talking about the catering culture of china in so many magazines? Thus, it is hardly to convincing to assert that newspapers and magazines are the best way of learning about a foreign country.

In fact, newspapers and magazines are definitely good ways of learning about a foreign country, however, when compared with the internet ,we can not say they are the best way. We can easily get the all the information we need with simple click on the mouse. All in all, with so many advantages, I can help denoting internet as the best way of learning from a foreign country.
