TOPIC: ARGUMENT210 -The following is a letter to the editor of a news magazine.

"Clearly,the successful use of robots on missions to explore outer space in the past 20years demonstrates that robots could be increasingly used to perform factorywork more effectively, efficiently, and profitably than human factory workers.The use of robots in factories would offer several advantages. First, robotsnever get sick, so absenteeism would be reduced. Second, robots do not makemistakes, so factories would increase their output. Finally, the use of robotswould also improve the morale of factory workers, since factory work can be soboring that many workers would be glad to shift to more interesting kinds oftasks."

机器人在工厂使用会收到很好的效果，列举了两个优点。
首先，太空任务和工厂的工作是否一样？
其次，机器人的购买和维修是否比人力合算？
最后，机器人不犯错误，但是也同时不会变通，这样会不会不能处理一些紧急情况？

(1) The mere factor that robots can be sucessfully used on missions to explore outer space in the past 20 years might not suffice to the conclusion that robots can be used in factory work. These two kinds of work are very different.
(2) It is unfair to say that robots never get sick, since it may suffer from mechanical or electrical failure. Also, whether robots make mistakes is not known yet, so it is not justifiable to conclude that factories would increase their output.
(3) The author fails to foresee the disadvantages of the use of robots, such as the possibility that factory workers become jobless. Another example is whether robots can communicate well with each other or even with human beings.
(4) The statement that use of robots would improve the morale of factory workers is not warranted, because the assumption of tasks shift may not work well. In addition, the maintain of robots may cost high.

(1)首先空间机器人和工厂里作业的机器人无论在制造工艺、成本、技术要求上都是有很大不同的，所以它不能推出robots could be increasingly used to perform factoryword more effectively, efficiently,and profitably than human factory workers.
(2)机器人也是会出故障的，也是会出错误的。并且机器人可能需要更高的成本，需要聘请专业人员进行维护。需要针对工厂的具体情况，比如labor costs，财务状况，机器人购买费用和维护费用等进行综合分析，不能够盲目做决定。
（3）在工厂引入机器人并不一定会提高士气，相反，引入机器人会减少人工操作的岗位，会引起部分工人失业，可能会增加工人的危机感和不安感。
