How a person look or dress is more important to one’s success than a good idea, agree or not?
No matter how time changes, a lot of people consistently tend to judge others by their appearances, that is, how does s/he look or dress? Some of them even believe that it is easier to get success when you have a good-looking instead of a good idea. This statement, I thoroughly cannot agree with.
To be frank, I have to concede the fact that, in modern society, certain groups of people can usually take advantages of beauty, actually, to look good is likely to be the cornerstone of the career of celebrities, namely, movie stars, theater actresses as well as super models. For individuals like them, mostly attractive face and hot figure could increase the opportunity of being dug out by the agencies, as well as being more impressive to the audiences, as loving beauty is the nature of human. Also, in a common sense, dressing accord with the place or event is an element of success, like when Obama gives an important speech in White house, he is certainly in a formal suit which can deepen his figure of responsible president instead of casual T-shirt.

However, in some other career fair, such as researchers, scientists, business men, etc, how well the brain works might be concerned much more than how the face looks. If not, we would never have the chance to read the book- A Brief History of Time, wrote by Stephen Hawking, a world famous physics genius, who has to speak through a computer and doesn’t look that attractive. Not to mention Albert Einstein, impressive with his chaotic hair sticking on the mysterious head. Apparently, a good idea dominates the success of these people rather than any other features.
The further consideration has to do with the fact that, incidentally the outstanding dress and looking even cause verse impetus in the process of pursuing success for the owners. Besides the given advantages, they may also be talented in mind and have the capacity to devote
to more meaningful stuffs, which are accidentally being covered by superficial look unfortunately.
Considering all the arguments discussed above, we may safely arrive on the point that the appearance is just the decoration in the road towards success. In contrast, hard working and a well-running brain as well as brilliant ideas are the bricks paving it. |
