ISSUE 161  the reputation of anyone who is subjected to media scrutiny will eventually be diminished (530 words)

I agree with the statement that intensive media coverage will diminish the reputation of people although it is overstated.
Not anyone but majority of people are tarnished on the spotlight by the bombardment of the media. The truth hidden behind this
circumstance is that media has deviated from their principles. In this situation, the reporters are driven by the profit and
the nature of competition to make various of gimmicks for capturing the audience. Not only do they exposure people's privacy
endlessly but also libel them with some fake charges. The responsibility of media is open to doubt.

One "guilty" of nowaday's intensive media coverage is not just and objective which are exactly the essence of the responsibility of the media. They prefer fabricating some stunts deliberately for chasing the high audience rating and maximizing the profit rather than reflecting the truth. The canards and aspersions are fraught with our quotidian life. The trick of distorting and exaggerating the genuine life of people has turned to be the mainstream of the media unfortunately. The migrant workers in Mexico, for instance, has been denunciated by some media coverages for disturbing the social security only
because the influx of them has risen the criminal rate. Soon, these workers were deported pennilessly. The similar issues are
numerous. Therefore, neither the people who are disdained nor the audience who are deceived by the aberrant behavior of the media will be hurt severely.

Media is also to blame for reporting the tidbits and scandals more than the beneficial things people have devoted to the society. The administration of former U.S. president Bill Clinton will most likely to be overshadowed by the affair with Monica Lewinsky propagandized seethingly by the media in entire eight years. Golf superstar Tiger Woods's sterling reputation
has been tarnished by the media more than once as well; first by media's uncovering of his prostitution scandal, then most recently by news of his sexual addiction treatment and the divorce from his wife. The official achievements of Bill and the spectacular golfing career of Tiger are already neglected by the public. Once tarnished by the media scrutiny, the reputation
of a famous or otherwise is forever sullied regardless how greatly he contributes to the society.

Finally, the intensive media scrutiny infuses the public a ridiculous illusion that the so-called heroes have large number
of flaws and misdeed we can hardly see. Actually, the vast majority of people lack the critical thinking to discern what the
media propagandize. They rely on the media coverage so deeply that they begin to suspect their esteemed heroes. This wrong intents of media not only calumniate the innocent people but also make the masses lose faith in society since in which there are too much worring and disappointing news.

In sum, the statement reflects the superficial behavior of the current intensive media coverage. They should be forced to find their accountability and conscience immediately, otherwise the reputation of more and more people who are subjected to
the media scrutiny will be diminished. No one hope to see the tragedy of Princess Diana repeated. It may be too late to do anything when more and more misfortunes take place.
I will be auspicious
