The author recommends to invest in Consolidated Industies for the quantity of oil for fuel will increase. To support his recommendation, the author cites that citizens in the northestern United States oil as their major fuel for heating and last year new homes have been built there. The author also cites that the last year that region had 90 days with below average temperatures and Waymarsh University predict that this weather pattern will continue for several more years.Close scrutiny of each of these facts, however, reveals that none of them lend credible support to the recommendation.
First, homes having traditonally used oil as their major fuel for heating and the increasing of new homes does not necessarily indicate that the increase of demand for heating oil. It is possible that new fuel for heating has been found this year to take the place of heating oil so the demand for oil will not increase. Even if new homes has been built, it would be hasty to conclude that there will be an increase in the heating oil. It is entirely possible that people built homes to rent,or for tourism.Since the author has not adequately responded to these concern, his recommendation is untenable.
Secondly, the author fails to tell the demand for heating oil during the 90 days with below-average temperatures. It is possible that the demand for oil decreased, because many people went travelling to a winter resort and few people still lived there.  Without telling the fact about the demand for heating oil  I cannot any conclusion about the increasing demand for heating oil.
Thirdly, the author unfairly assumes that the prediction of Waymarsh University is reliable. It might be that this university has not in advanced equipment to predict the temperature so that result is not that much exactly. Since the it lacks the evidence about the reliability dgree of the prediction, I cannot accept the recommendation.
Finally, even if there will be an increase in the demand for heating oil, it doesn't indicate that we should invest Consolidated Industries, because there is no information about the price and quality of the heating oil it provided. Without providing these information, I cannot accept the recommadation.
In sum, the argument is logically flawed and therefore unconvincing as it stands. To bolster the recommadation the author must provide evidence that citizens there will still use oil as fuel and there will be an increase in the demand for heating oil, moreover, Consolidated Industries is better than other companies.

逻辑很清晰,但模板化和我一样严重,下一个目标是总结出自己的模板
