However, the speaker overstates the comparative significance of mistakes as a way of discovery and progress since mistakes may bring self-abasement to people and there also exist other avenues to gain success.

Nevertheless, we cannot progress in certain situation even if we make many mistakes. Only through carefully and coolly think what lead to the fail and take positive measures to amend mistakes can we acquire progress and success. Otherwise, people will stay where they failed. Consider, for example, Steve Paul Jobs, one of major creators of Apple but be dismissed since his mistakes, cannot return Apple if he didn’t correct his short comings. On the other hand, failure will take people's confidence away and even induce people to commit suicide or other serious consequence and aftermath.

There are also some other ways to contribute to discovery or advance rather than making mistakes. In the fields of physics, there are many great theories and inventions found by the summary and combine of other great person’s achievements. We also can avoid make blunder by the overall survey and sufficient prepare and comprehensive thinking. Consulting and making advantage of the experience of model is also a short cut to success since there is no enough time and opportunity for us to waste in the world.
