Issue 153:
Skepticism has great benefit to cultivate our creation and independent thinking, so I agree with the author’s assertion that students should bring a certain skepticism. However, we cannot question blindly since we may not absolutely understand of q question or just misread the teachers’ meaning.

There exist some faults during the class since the knowledge of a teacher is limited. There is no prefect man in the world, so we should bring a certain skepticism to our classes in some degree. Galileo, the famous physicist, overture the phenomenon, lighter objects need more time than the higher one in the same height, widely accepted by the public. The truth can be questioned in some degree, not mentioned our teachers’ claim. Teachers are not god that it is so common that the knowledge they claim is questionable. However, as we all know, without sufficient evidence to support our points, it is unwarranted to overture the result. It is a great chance for us to learn more during the process of proving the questions. And also a more deep and clear impression of the knowledge we will have. It is obviously a great benefit we may get since it is a great way to cultivate our creation and strengthen the ability of independent thinking.

However, we should not question blindly unless we make sure that we have learnt a lot during this field. Can a child 2years old question the teachers’ claim that a unique gene of a person can determine his characteristic? Can a layer question the constitution of a cell? Can a director never learnt about the physics question the theory of relativity created by the famous physicist Einstein? So a sane skeptical is necessary. Confucius, a well-known philosopher and educationist in China, once claim that it is sagacious to be a person frankly facing things we know and the things we don’t know, and never deceiving ourselves. We should not question such a thing unfamiliar to us. Earnest learning is the most important thing we should do when we are young, we can bravely question only when we accumulate sufficient knowledge. Or the skepticism seems useless and worthless.

We should admit that the spirit of questioning should be advocated. However, questioning selectivity and avoiding some sensitive topic is essential. We should be prudent we when question the problem in politics since the disturbance may occur and a peaceful society may break down. Do you remember the government of American caused the war since Iraq hided massive arms with great damage and in large-scale? American cannot find any effective evidence for a long time which leads residents questioning about the reason of attacking Iraq and break out the serious parade. A harmonious and peaceful society is never existed and some terrible results such as distrusting the present government break out. Considering the boundary of questioning is indispensible. Only querying to something which has some effect towards the positive development of our society can the skepticism be valuable.

To sum up, I can partly with the author’s claim that students should bring a certain skepticism since it is a efficient way to improve ourselves and promote the development of our society. However, reasonable and restricted questioning is also necessary to keep our society peaceful and guarantee the value of the querying.

However, we我认为这里用we不太好,主动承认自己是学生,改为students吧 cannot question blindly since we may not absolutely understand of question or just misread the teachers’ meaning.

However(这里有转折关系么~), as we all know, without sufficient evidence to support our points, it is unwarranted to overture the result(这一整句话貌似都是多余的~). Or the skepticism seems useless and worthless.这段观点不好,质疑精神是单方存在的,不是说没有相当的知识就不能发问的,如果这样说,在任何领域都了解甚少的小学生就不应该发问了么?孔子的那个“人贵有自知之明”的例子貌似不能支持论点。还有,整段都没有怎么谈到students,是不是有离题之嫌~

你这篇如果是“社会与质疑精神”应该还算切题,但这里是“学生与质疑精神”~有点偏题了,而且通篇都用we,把自己当成students,不太客观。
