People attend college or university for many different reasons (forexample, new experiences, career preparation, increased knowledge). Why do you think people attend college or university? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
After graduating from high school. Some students have the option to directly enter work force. Most students have the opportunities, however, choose to attend college before finding jobs. I think they attend college in order to open their horizon, to be qualified for job-hunting, and to have a clear path to career.
First of all, before attending college, many students have a limited opportunity to step into a field which he or she is interested in. However, when you are in campus, you can choose which major to learn and obviously have plenty of time to research on it. That is definitely a good chance for students to obtain knowledge, and broaden their horizon, simultaneously.
Additionally, employers are willing to pay a premium for highly qualified applicants with college degree. Even if an applicant without a college degree has a high test scores, employers may still place a higher value on an applicant with the same scores and also possesses credential from a well-known university. Because the extent to which a college degree is accepted by employers as proof of competence in a given field. College graduates are not only more likely to receive more job offers, they can also command higher salaries than applicants who lack college diplomas.
Finally, college also offers access to jobs with a clear path. For example, some junior and senior students will find an internship off classes. It helps them to use their knowledge learning from class into a specific field, to feel how the principles in books work. Not only they will be more familiar with the field they learn, but they will be aware of their shorts and be well-prepared for their career.
In sum, I believe that students choose to go to college will get more chances to achieve their goals and be the winner in a more competitive world.
