Because of the invention of the car,we can spend less time reaching out destinations.Because of the invention of television,we can watch interesting programs after long-day’s work.Because of the invention of elevation,we can live in the higher floor of one building.Today,people are enjoying the convenience that the technology had brought about. Thus,some people asserted that people today spend too much time on personal enjoyment rather than doing things they should do.Personally speaking,I can hardly agree with this opinion.I will explore some reasons here to illustreate it. It's undeniable that people today spend
time on personal enjoyment because of the convenience technology has brought about.We can purchase the sweater we want at the shopping store on the internet.There are varous kinds of commodities to choose from,which are more cheaper than those in the shopping mall.You can get the beautiful sweater without going outside. So we just regard the searching on the Internet as an enjoyment at spare time.The people in the past cannot feel the fast and convenience of the Internet due to the low level of productivity. However,people today do not spend so much time on the personal enjoyment on account of the increasingly competitive society.In China,many graduates are unable to find a suitable job for there are so many graduates competing in the job market.But they actually need the jobs to support their parents and live a better lives with their wives.So the people today have to stive to improve themselves to make them more competitive in the job market.They have to spend much time on studying and working instead of on enjoyment and entertainment. Judging from the above reason offered,I can hardly agree that people today spend too much time on enjoyment -doing things they like to do- rather than doing things they should do,cause they burden much wishes from relatives and much pressure in today's society. |
