急问关于gre general和sub合并的问题

昨天给gre发邮件要求把2008年在大陆考的sub和今年在香港考的general合并，结果他说不能合并，他给我发来邮件说：

Because of discrepancies in your identifying information and/or mailing addresses on your GRE® registration forms, your files did not automatically combine. Provided that the original reporting date is no longer than one year, your files will be combined and a new score report will be mailed to you, your designated institutions, and/or your additional requested institutions.

我想问这句话是什么意思？identifying information发给他就能合并吗？sub和general相距的时间是在一年之内才能合并吗？
