Nowadays, nearly every home has at least one television, and children spend a lot of time on watching TV. Some parents believe that TV is a useful tool, through which children could learn a lot, so they don't limit the time they kids spend on TV. However, in my opinion, there should be time limitation.

First of all, watching TV is harmful for children's eyes and causes all kinds of visual problems. A thing I remember clearly is that when I was young, few students in my class wore glasses, because at that time in China, not many families had TV and the programs were kind boring. But today, so many students in primary school are wearing glasses. Most students like watching TV, meanwhile they cannot keep a right gesture, which gradually reduces their visual ability. And finally, they have to wear a pair of glasses. In addition, long time before a monitor causes students have unhealthy appearance and problems around necks and backs.

Secondly, the more time children spend on TV, the less they have for their study. For example, my sister likes watching all kinds of soap operas, while my aunt and uncle have to work and cannot limit the hour. Every day, she comes back from school, the TV is turned on. Until night, she comes to find that she has homework to do. As a result, she cannot finish home work efficiently in time and has a bad academic performance.

In addition, too much time on TV reduce the communication between children and others including their parents and peers. Children would immediately go back home and join no activities, if their favorite cartoons are waiting for them. They will not talk with their parents about things happened at school, because they are busy watching their thrillers. So it seems that the TV becomes a wall between children and people around them. At worst, they may become antisocial as their world is on the television and they do not know how to get along with people in person.

In sun, some parents may cast doubt on my viewpoint by arguing that what children get from TV is knowledge, so watching TV could bring children intelligence. Undoubtedly, some programs on TV can enlarge the ken of children and teach them a lot. However, without time limitation, more and more children will have to wear glasses since a young age, and little time on real knowledge will undoubtedly lead to a failing life. So, hour limit form parents is necessary for children.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Two people can become good friends even if one of them has more money than the other.


Different people have different understanding about friends, some believe friendship means mutual help and if the statues of two people have a big gap, namely one is very rich and the other is very poor, they could not be good friends. However, in my opinion, friendship is something invaluable; the poor could make friends with the rich.
First, many factors other than money can draw two people together. People become friends due to different reasons including appreciation, matching in personalities and such, among which money is the least important factor. Few people would see how much others have before making friends with them. They become friends because they are compatible with each other. Sometimes the reason, why two people get together is hard to tell. People have their special standards about friends. It is entirely possible a rich person wants to find a real friend who will not focus on his or her wealth as most people do and a poor man may be suitable; they can exchange innermost feeling about life when getting along with each other.
In addition, people always emphasis true affection in spite of if their friends are rich or poor. For example, I seldom talk about money with my good friends and their wealth is not what I care about. What I care are if they treat friends with their own hearts, if they could understand me, and if they are suitable to be my friends considering characters. Maybe some of them are richer than me; I won't feel nervous because if we are not equal due to money, we should not be friends. However, we are friends and money is not the point any more.
In sum, although some people may cast doubt on my viewpoint by arguing that it is hard for two people to be equal
if one is far richer and without equation there is no true friendship. However, their understanding about good friends is very shallow. In my view, difference in wealth will not be the barrier between two friends as long as they treat each other with their hearts. So, true friendship has nothing to do with money.
