xxx College of Art is the leading teaching university for jewellery design in the world. Thus my desire to further my studies at this university. It’s research facilities are outstanding, and the lecturers are highly competent. I fell, therefore ,that I will be able to learn a lot here
Furthermore, China has not reached such high levels of jewellery design, and thus no teaching is available at this level, I would not be able to improve myself career wise anywhere in China.
Europe is also rich in its culture of art; so my studying at this university will enable me to understand the cultural aspects europeans incorporate into their jewellery design. I will then be able to combine this with eastern culture and see how the two can complement

My basic aim in wanting to undertake this course is to combine the two aspects of jewellery design,as well as the actual skill of making them. Most of the courses undertaken of undergraduate level emphasised the design past of it,and so I am very well acquainted with this aspect. However,I am of the opinion that an understanding of the manufacturing techniques would enable me to better develop my understanding of design concepts.

So,I intend to focus on current trends in technology in as far as the making of jewellery is concerned, and see how these methods can be combined with the design of jewellery ,taking into account cultural Chinese aspects.
