If I must make a choice, I prefer the job that pays few salaries but allow me staying with my family and friends. Because, for me, my family and friends are more valuable and important than money, not mention to more advantages of working near my family and friends.
First, I want to say that the time with family and friends is much more precious than the time used to make money. I always remember the good time I have had with my family and friends. The currency of money is a cycle. We use money to buy some things and gain some services, and at the same time we earn money via working. There is no end to make money, but the days are gone forever. Some people may argue that they can work harder and make more money when they are young, even though they are required to leave their family and friends, therefore they can live a better life and have more time with their family and friends in the future. But for me, happiness is simple. Just staying with them I have already felt happy and satisfied, no matter how much I can earn.
On the other hand, staying with my family and friends is good for my job. Because I will always keep myself in a good mood with them every morning, so I will have a good spirit to do my work and a high efficiency, too. Besides, I will not feel lonely and they could also help me face and overcome some challenges. When I have a failure, for example, they can give me a comfort and support, and even help me analyze the reasons of the failure. In fact, though they can do nothing in many times, I also have enough courage to meet any challenge just since they stand behind me.
In a word, I would prefer to stay with my family and friends even though I was paid few salaries.

I disagree with the statement that the car has had greater effect to society than the airplane has to. Though both of them are traffic vehicles, they have different effects to society. For instance, it is convenient and effective to prefer to a car rather than an airplane to go to work or some places which are not far from your home. But if you need to be on a business trip to a far place in a short time, an airplane would be, of course, a better choice. So the statement above is too arbitrary. Moreover, to some extent, the airplane has had greater effect to society in spirit value than the car has to.

On the one hand, the invention of the airplane has made human's flying dreams come true, which extremely inspires human's confidence and pride about our creative ability. With an airplane we can fly into the blue sky, across big rivers and over valley and high mountains; and we can overlook the world from three thousand feet upper air. On the other hand, the airplane can also demonstrate the technology improvement in many areas such as manufacture, advanced material and stuff. It is because of this progress that the world is becoming smaller and smaller and people can go to more and more places for travel or investment.The airplane changes the world, indeed.

Besides, the airplane also inspires our interests to explore much bigger and further space. Nowadays the aerospace plane has been invented and makes human go into outer space and walk on the moon. This is a miracle. And we are creating more and more marvel.

Finally, I want to say the car and the airplane are both important to our society. Without them, our life will be very difficult.

I agree with the following statement that it's more important for the government to build new housing than preserve old and historic building. Nowadays, with the development of science and technology progress, old things are always replaced by new things and the buildings are no exception. To some extent, it is necessary and important for the government to build new housing to replace some antique and dangerous buildings which may threaten inhabitants' life safety.

Besides, building new housing can also be better to preserve old and historic buildings. Some people may say some antique buildings have great historical and art values which will be destroyed if they are replaced by new ones. In fact, the dwellers' activities are more harmful to these values. Thus, the government builds new buildings and makes them move out old ones and into the new ones, which is actually a better measure to protect the old and historic buildings. The government could even build a museum for them, which would make better use of them to communicate their historic and aesthetic values and knowledge.

Moreover, compared to the old constructions, the new ones are able to have their own unique and novel art values, too. There are also many excellent designers who have various of original ideas. With their creativity and hard work the new buildings can be much more beautiful and comfortable for people to live in, which can also contribute to the modernization of cities urban construction.
   
On the other hands, of course, building new housing also has some disadvantages. For instance, it will use a large amount of money and resources. However, with a population explosion, some old and low buildings have wasted great land resources which may be better utilized via new constructions. As every coin has two sides, we should make comprehensive evaluations on a case-by-case basis.   
      
To sum up, it's more important for the government to build new housing than preserve old and historic building.
