Personal Guide for Everyone in Master Program Wireless Communication
I graduated from Wireless@lth. I really enjoyed the life and courses here. Now, I am always available for master student in wireless communication program in LUND. For student who enrolled in wireless communication program, here is the course page includes all the compulsory courses and selective courses.
In my opinion, selective courses could give students more flexibility to build up their own understanding of the communication engineering. I am presenting my personal understanding of selective courses in the following.
For students who want to get deep undertanding of both theoretical and practical aspect of PHY Layer DSP standard, three theoretical courses include OFDM for Broadband Communication, Modern Wireless Systems-LTE and Beyond, Adaptive Signal Processing and one practical course (programing in DSP chip) Algorithms in Signal Processors – Project Course, are strongly recommended.
For students who want to get deep undertanding of RF and antenna, several theoretical courses include Basic Wireless Communication Technique, Antenna Technology, RF Amplifier Design and one practical course Radio Project, are strongly recommended.
There are also other selective courses for you to explore lots of aspects for communication system. Math course Stationary Stochastic Processes benefits the students who want to apply for PhD in wireless communication, Information Theory and Error Control Coding introduce the fundamental of communication theory-coding theory and shcemes, Internet Protocol provides theoretical understanding and practical exp. in network layer.
Besides all theoretical and practical courses shown above, I also recommend student who is lack of programming skills to choose one programming course from Computer Sci. for example, C Programming(3 ECTS), C++ Programming. Concern on script proigramming langauge, Python Programming Course or other script langauge is also useful for real industry. If you are student who has exp. in programing, maybe other CS courses include Concurrent and Real-Time Programming, Software Testing, are interested for you.
