Over the past decade, thanks largely to the rapid development of science and technology, an increasing number of people are concerned about establishments and embellishments of cities. Although some people claim that building new housing is more essential than conserve the historical building.【自认为这段对题目的同义改写做的不好= = 求狠批】I, however, strongly believe that this theme is depend on distinct situation.

Initially, if the old housings condense great cultural essence of the civilization inheriting from our ancestor, the government should assume the responsibility of protecting it from suffering the damage. The government could repair some nonfunctional equipment in the housing and then the housing with cryptic history would be a local museum to show the particular culture in the region. The policy does not only enhance the progression of the economy, but benefit the offspring of the country to aware the specular achievement of their anterior as well. The Palace is a classical example to demonstrate this point. Nowadays, some parts of The Palace are regularly mended while most parts of it are displaying everyday to various people around the world who desires relatively to absorb the ancient Chinese culture. I, as a Influenced by The Palace, the souvenir stores near it always earn a great deal of money.

On the other hand, if the buildings are too ancient to support themselves and cause dangerous events, it is reasonable for the governments to destruct it apart and then construct some new housing with improving equipment in order to assure the settlers’ safety. For instance, there was a strange and astonishing apartment in my hometown. It had built for military use in the World War Two【我打不出罗马数字 > <】. The apartment suffer too much pain of several battles, consequently, it is too vulnerable to offer the attack of rain or storm. Some elderly, nevertheless, consist to dwell there because of memory of their family history. Until 2005, a unprecedentedly strong storm convinced the people living there after the housing had been nearly destroyed by the lightening and rain. Government eventually established a public school providing fundamental courses for the children in the district, where used to be the old apartment. The people who used to settle there just like their ancestors to protect their only properties have already lived in a modern apartment given by the government as an atonement.
To sum up, the decision whether the old housing is supposed to preserve forever is always controversial between the citizens and the government. I personally suggest the department associating with this kind of projects should determine by analyzing the elaborated context and environment of the building carefully.
