求助语法问题

Unlike the old, selfish people who claim that they have experienced the hardship of life and feel numb about what other side of the world are suffering from, these young people, particularly university students , are a group equipped with compassion and a sense of responsibility to the society in all, regardless of the wealthy or the poor.

这句话里面有没有语法错误？？如果有错误的话请指出（这是本人写的一句话）
还有the old 和selfish people后面引导的是同位语从句么？ the old selfish中间要加逗号么或者and 又或者是什么都不加？？
还有， what 引导的宾语从句 后面的suffer from ，from用加么？？？
语法也快忘没了！

应该不存在语法错误，读下来挺正确的，不过还是建议写简练一点
那个who不是同位语从句，两个成分不是完全对等的。old和selfish之间可以加逗号也可以不加，加and也行，不过读起来更拗口。suffer from也是正确的。
