1) The depth of your scientific knowledge. They will concentrate on the research you have done but occasionally broader questions are usually asked. They are interested in the technical aspects of your research but are more interested that you know the background, objectives and maybe where it goes from here.
2) Your enthusiasm and commitment to research. How and when you developed the interest in biochemistry and molecular biology? Why did you choose Wayne State University School of Medicine? Why the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology? Are there any specific labs or faculty that you are interested in working with? It’s good to specify someone and why you are interested in their research. How interested are you in coming here?
3) Your communication skills. How well you speak English (you shouldn’t have any problem), how clear and logical are your responses. How well do you get your ideas across..
。。冷场了T—T
后面问了“why wayne, why this program” 这里跟大家分享一下,lz和一个留美20多年回国的教授聊过,教授表示那些从维基百科搜到的好话就不用说了,其实直接说“fellowship attractive,” “the university is very kind to me ”之类的教授会觉得很真诚。
