1. Serendipity, unintentional researches always yield unexpected scientific advances.
2. We can not always predict scientifc research with certainty due to it's nature
3. Admitted, focus research on practical research has it's merit - money, time etc

Disagree
1. Impractical research may not beget useful information
2. Easy to deviate and lost scientific purpose
3. Granted, it may have its merit - for serendipity may come into play and well serves the purpose.
