Dr. King Lai is an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering in City University of Hong Kong. He is currently recruiting Ph.D. student with background in Mechanical Engg, Electrical Engg, chemical Engg, Physics, etc., to join his “Nanorobotics and Nanomanufacturing Laboratory” starting in Fall 2014.

The research highlights are:
1)Nano-robotics and micro/nano-manipulation
2)Design and fabrication of optical sensor and biosensor
3)Mechatronic design

Students interested in the Ph.D. program (Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering Degree) can contact Prof. King Lai for more information. Students who are interested in this position should send their CV (or resume) and transcripts, to kinglai@cityu.edu.hk. The Application deadline is in early Dec 2013.

English requirement for PhD program in CityU is: TOEFL (over 79, internet based) or IELTS (6.5 or above); or other test scores (like band 6 in the Chinese mainland's College English Test, with a minimum score of 490) that may be regarded as equivalent.
