请教申过 UC 系的同学一个Required Academic Records的问题

UC Riverside 的研究生要求里面 有一个是关于 Required Academic Records 的。我想请问这个和成绩单有什么区别？ UC-R 官方是这么描述的：
Applicants are required to submit official records from each academic institution attended after secondary school. Official records are original documents issued by the institution that bear the actual signature of the registrar in ink and the seal of the issuing institution. Notarized documents are not acceptable. To be considered as official, these documents must be sent directly to the academic program at UCR from the issuing institution.


我不懂除了成绩单，现在学校还给我们开过什么学术证明。
请问有人知道吗？:handshake

应该没啥区别，就是要盖章、签字、封好。
但是又有一点是To be considered as official, these documents must be sent directly to the academic program at UCR from the issuing institution.字面上理解学校直接寄到对方学校，反正我的学校不会干这事，都是拿出去自己找快递寄，不知道他们认不认。

如果寄的话，我感觉同一个城市应该问题不大。
但是 http://graduate.ucr.edu/international.html 这个地方 又单独说了transcript， 所以我一直不确定到底是不是一个东西。

如果是，这两个东西为啥不统一名称啊。无语了。
我打算在apply里面研究研究到底是什么东西。:handshake
