It's approaching to the final battle of 2004 US presidential campaign.

Who you want to be the president of next term of presidency? Bush, Kerry, or Edwards. They are presidential candidates most likely to take office so far.

Different president may take different attitude and approach towards Sino--US relationship.

The president are capable of adopt measures that are hurting the Sino--US trade in the long run but helpful to their presidential race in the short shoot.

I wonder can any of the US president value the relationship of the two country more than his throne.

QQ, I hope that all countries should place thier interest above others while keeping in mind others interests and long term affects. :)

The Bush administration has advanced Sino-US relations during his term as President. After a shaky start, the two countries taken several positive steps forward, including many high level diplomatic visits and military exchanges.

Generally, trade actions have also been positive. Some would say certain actions, such as steel, were politically motivated. They are to a degree, however, it's important to acknowledge that every country should be expected to place its interests ahead of others. That is why no one should expect the Chinese government to revalue its currency before the Chinese government decides when the time is best for China. :)

As for election predictions, it is too early to say. The US economy is recovering and Iraqi sovereignty is to be transferred back to the Iraqi people in June, but many things can happen that will affect how voters cast their ballots in November.

this question is so serious.
i never try to know the future
since no matter who be the next president of us
china still need to develop her economy to make herself stronger enough so that it can help the sino-us relationship. money is the power in the political area.
since lots of multinational companies have invest in china, and many of them are from us, it is hard for the president to do anything to destroy chinese market since they would lose their profit, money, as they unwill.
so president is nothing and profit is everything.
