contrary代指后面一大堆，despite protestation to the contrary意思就是虽然声明与后面一大堆相反，despite表让步
who代指specialists

我觉得这道题最难的是lift的用法，此题考的那个意思不太常用，在webster里有，但是红宝、3000根本连这个词都没有收录，不知道这种问题怎么解决，求教ben神。
