to answer you inqury, i hold that there's no reference better than Merriam-Webster Dictionary. If you do want to abtain a E-dictionary, make sure it contains this one

sorry, I am only a new-comer. But I am afraid no Electronic Dictionary on the market contains the W-M dictionary. What is the advantage and disadvantages of WENQUXING and HAO YI TONG? Thank you

I think Haoyitong has more functions while Wenquxing is a litter bit cheaper. HAHA

I consulted a salewoman, she recommended me HaoYiTong 3688, and told me that there has been no case for repairing in the last two years. Is it reliable? Anyone who used it?

Just I see ,I think the WENQUXING is more quicker in finding a word than HAOYITONG.
If you want to look for a more common english word WENQUXING is the the best choice.
If you want to learn more english knowledge just as the above said you'd better use the Marriam-Webster for a long term .
