The research group of Prof. Weiyi Lu at Michigan State University is looking for a passionate and self-motivated Ph.D. student. The research areas include dynamic behavior of nanomaterials, advanced nano-composites, solid-liquid interaction, among others. Preference:
        The candidate must have already earned or should soon earn the M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or in a closely related field.
        Background in materials processing, materials characterization, experimental mechanics, dynamics and/or wave propagation
        Experience on Matlab, LabView, Solidworks or AutoCAD, Fourier Transform is a plus
        Fluent in English, good written and verbal communication skills
