7) The following is a recommendation from the Board of Directors of Monarch Books.
We recommend that Monarch Books open a café in its store. Monarch, having been in business at the same location for more than twenty years, has a large customer base because it is known for its wide selection of books on all subjects. Clearly, opening the café would attract more customers. Space could be made for the café by discontinuing the children's book section, which will probably become less popular given that the most recent national census indicated a significant decline in the percentage of the population under age ten. Opening a café will allow Monarch to attract more customers and better compete with Regal Books, which recently opened its own café.
Write a response in which you discuss what questions would need to be answered in order to decide whether the recommendation is likely to have the predicted result. Be sure to explain how the answers to these questions would help to evaluate the recommendation.

    The article recommends that Monarch Books should open a cafe in its store to attract more customers and better compete with Regal Books. Close scrutiny of the recommendation, I find a few questions need to be answered, and those answers may strength or undermine the recommendation.

    The first question which need to be answered is whether the situation of Monarch Books is the same as that of Real Books. 也学Regal的位置及经营策略不同，Regal位于闹市区或高级写字楼中，主要面对中产阶级或高收入者，那么开家cafe肯定的会吸引更多的人来这家书店。而Monarch若只是在商业区，而且面对的顾客是普通大众的话，未必有人愿意来其cafe消费，也不会吸引更多的人来Monarch。

    Second, is it the propensity that the sales performance of Monarch Books won`s be discounted as it discontinue the children`s book section? 可能，一些大人们来Monarch主要是为了给自己的孩子买些儿童书，同时顺带给自己买几本，那么不再卖儿童书势必会影响书店的经营；而且，Monarch主要是以自己的wide selection of books on all subjects为名，那么，此举肯定会破坏其的完整性，也会影响Monarch在顾客心中的地位，那么也肯定会影响其的经营。

    Finally, could opening a cafe really help to attract more customers to Monarch Books ? Monarch在同一地方二十多年，由此吸引了很多顾客，可能，很多的顾客都是比较喜欢Monarch的因有尽有的书而过来的，喜欢这儿的环境，而且从小就养成了来这儿的爱好，而并不会愿意在这儿喝咖啡，甚至也不喜欢去有咖啡馆的书店；同时，若是要喝咖啡的话，也许人们回去位置更好的地方，而非在原地呆了二十多年的Monarch。
