Detailed Information:
Dr. Wang in the Department of Industrial & Manufacturing Systems Engineering (IMSE) at University of Texas at Arlington is actively looking for qualified Post-doc researchers, Ph.D. students as well as exchange students.  Several Post-doc and PhD positions in data mining/machine learning/data sciences are available in the Center on Stochastic Modeling, Optimization, & Statistics (COSMOS-http://www.uta.edu/cosmos/) and the department of Industrial & Manufacturing Systems Engineering (IMSE) at University of Texas at Arlington (http://www.uta.edu/ie/).

* Post-doctoral researcher position is available immediately. If you are interested, contact Dr. Wang as soon as possible.
* Ph.D. student position starting in fall 2015, accepted Ph.D. students will be provided with full financial support for the entire PhD study $1800-$2000/month + tuition (The expected PhD studies 4 years for master graduates and 5 years for bachelor graduates). Strong candidates also have opportunities to obtain the prestigious enhanced assistantship from engineering school, which is 2500/month+tuition.
* Strong exchange students are also encouraged to contact and will be be considered to join the lab and participate in research projects on data sciences/big data. The starting data can be flexible in Spring/Summer 2015.

Graduate students or undergraduate with background in data mining, machine learning, mathematical modeling, bioinformatics, computer science, computational neurosciences are encouraged to apply. Dr. Wang is conducting world-leading research in Big Data Analytics, Data Fusion, Pattern Recognition, Complex Systems Modeling; Intelligent Decision Making Systems, and Medical Diagnosis and Prognostics.  Dr. Wang has close research collaborations with University of Washington, UT Austin, and Georgia Tech. His research has strong connections to industry and business. He also works on Operations Research and Management Information Systems with collaborations in Business school. Dr. Wang's research is supported by US NSF (National Science Foundation) and Industry Companies. PhD graduates in the research
topics are popular and highly demanded/highly paid in the US job market. Recent Ph.D. graduates in related areas from IMSE Department at UT-Arlington got jobs in United Airlines, American Airlines, BNSF Railways, CSX Transportation, AA&T, Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase, Amazon, General Motors, Expedia, Washington University in St. Louis (Business School Faculty), etc. Dr. Wang is also active in high-tech start-up companies in both US and China.
