Funded graduate research assistant positions (Ph.D. level), in the area of geotechnical engineering, are available in the Department of Civil Engineering at University of Akron, Ohio (fall 2015 or spring 2016). Applicants are expected to have a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, or related field. MS degree and background in numerical modeling using PLAXIS, FLAC or similar numerical package, and experience in programming using Matlab, FORTRAN or Visual Basic, are welcomed.
