第一发套磁信发出去之后，导师回复第一栏，然后我很激动地回复问他什么时候有时间能面试，结果导师就回复第二栏，说让我先申请再面谈，请大家帮忙分析一下，导师这样做的目的是什么，我想他是不是在等看有没有更合适的学生，还是他想试探一下我是不是真的有诚意申请，难道他真的只是想从申请系统更多的了解我

老师的意思是：1. 先申请再和他SKYPE。2. 因为这样他可以通过申请材料更加全面地了解你的情况，skype会比较productive。3. 第一封邮件中“If you choose to apply to our program”应该也是这个意思。总结：如果聊了半天你却没申请的话教授的时间就浪费了，为了避免这种情况，他让你先提交申请。
