Ph.D. student positions at University of Minnesota Medical School Duluth

A newly established laboratory at University of Minnesota Medical School Duluth campus is looking for talented and motivated Ph.D. students. The laboratory is interested to elucidate 1) molecular basis of circadian behavior; 2) signaling mechanisms in neurological and neurodevelopmental disorders.  Focus will be placed on mechanisms that control mRNA translation in the brain.

The students will have opportunities to work closely with the PI using genetically modified animals and solve scientific problems utilizing a combination of molecular, cellular and behavioral approaches.  The students will be admitted into a relevant PhD program in the University of Minnesota, complete required curriculum and perform rigorous thesis research under the PI’s supervision. The city of Duluth is an inexpensive, seaport city located on the Lake Superior's shore with a variety of urban amenities. The State of Minnesota is one of the best states for family life.
