询问教授招MS吗，回复只招phd且让我走申请，是婉拒吗

让我网申时直接申博并填写倾向于去他的实验室，这样review process 时可以get his attention,请问我应该申请提交后再联系他吗，直接申博对我的硬件条件要求太高了，我觉得GPA没达到希望不大，不知教授是婉拒还是暗示他会留意一下。原文如下：Thank you for your interest in the research activities of my laboratory.

The xx Lab is always interested in outstanding prospective Ph.D. students, and we do have open positions for a small number of applicants selected competitively after admission either to the Computer Science (preferred), Electrical Engineering, or Math departments.

I would therefore encourage you to apply for our Ph.D. program, and to indicate clearly in your application your preference for working in the xx Lab with me, so as to ensure that your application comes to my attention during the review process.

Please note that we do not admit M.S. students or visiting Ph.D. students in the xx Lab unless under exceptional circumstances.
