Me: Good afternoon. Nice to meet you.
VO: En.
Me: This is my card. (pink)
VO: You will study for Ph.D in information technology in GMU?
Me: Yeah.
VO: What aspect?
Me: Operations Research.
VO: What does it do?
Me: Optimization. Its target is to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and cut down cost.
VO: What is your plan after graduation? Entrepreneur?
Me: No. I will come back to China and be a professor in a university after graduation. This is my detailed plan and feasibility analysis. (handed on flow chart)
VO: You have a good plan. Why do you want to go to USA?
Me: I want to be a professor in a Chinese university. My Ph.D. degree got in USA will definitely help me to attain my goal.
VO: Give me an example of the application of Operations Research.
Me:  I would like to take spare provisions optimization as a example. ……
(This is my fatal fault. Otherwise, I would probably get my visa soon. I took aircraft spare parts optimization as an example. As my future advisor have told me not to say anything about aviation or airplane to VO, I said expensive machine spare provision optimization and management instead of aircraft spare parts optimization. But I am familiar with "aircraft spare parts" and unconsciously said "aircraft spare parts" once.)
VO: Do you have transcripts with you?
Me:  Yes. (Handed it on) (my undergraduate and graduate majors are closely related to aviation as well as my university name)
VO: Your courses have many connections with aviation. I can't make a decision now. We will check you and give you a call after a month.
Me: Ok, nice to meet you. (regret, why not argue?)
VO: 盖章，微笑，给我蓝条加护照。只留了I-20，成绩单和我的归国计划流程图。

感觉是自己的责任，学运筹还能被check，全怪我自己。如果我举的例子不是我正在写的的硕士毕业论文，而是未来导师的优化算法，网络优化，离散事件仿真，不确定规划，应该能马上拿到visa了。可能是太疲劳了，加上准备不充分，所以反应不够快，才有此劫。
