Professor Shuang Hao in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Texas at Dallas is hiring multiple PhD students in the area of network and system security. His research focuses on measuring and detecting critical security issues in large-scale systems, such as  web-based threats, DNS analysis, underground economics, security in social networks. His work has been not only published at top-pier conferences in security, but also recognized in many high-profile tech news. Students with strong interests in security are encouraged to apply, especially those having interests or experience in web-based security, large-scale data analysis, and machine learning. Admitted Ph.D. students will have full financial support in the form of fellowship/TA/RA.
