Research Assistant (Ref: RA/MIT/0218a)
Department of Mathematics and Information Technology
The appointee will be responsible for supporting research and administration related work for a research project. He/she will assist in data collection, input and analysis, implementing models, managing administrative work, and performing any other duties as assigned by the project leader. The appointment will be for a period of around 12 months with the possibility of renewal subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably a Master’s or Doctoral degree, in computer science, computer engineering, information systems or other related fields. They should have good knowledge of machine learning and data mining. They should also have system implementation experience, good programming skills and high proficiency in written English and Chinese, especially in academic writing. Experience in research paper publication will be an advantage. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract. Fringe benefits include contract-end gratuity, leave, medical and dental benefits.
